I know, I know. This isn't actually December 1st, it's the 30th of November. But it's been far too long since I first started the blog, and I still haven't written a single thing! So this is for winter, because I LOVE winter. I positively adore snow. Anything to do with snow is simply wondrous. I love how it muffles all sound, how it transforms the world into one of dazzling, pregnant marshmallows. I can never get enough of it! Especially in December, when Christmas smiles in the near future. So, for the beginning of the sprightly month of December, here's a snow 'poem'.
Shh
Can you hear them falling?
Millions upon millions of them
tumbling
drifting
dancing from a softly glowing night sky
Adorning the ground
the trees
and the rooftops
in their layers of fluffy icing
Close your eyes
because I know you can see them
but can you hear them?
Oh, so silent
as you pad outside into the chilly night's air
Shh
Listen
Patter, patter, patter
The snowflakes' soft lullaby

Just the Beginning
Hello! Welcome to my blog, the Dribbling Quill. I've never really had a blog before...well, I've had one, but I only updated it every 3 or 4 months.
This one, though, I plan to display some of my writing on. Not my long books that I write offline, but short little things. I have no idea what to start with, but hopefully I will end up posting some sort of writing, whether it's poems or stories or just random writing. For now, I'm just beginning. Hello, The Dribbling Quill!
